Seward Sea Life Center

We took a Sunday drive and spent the day in Seward, AK. We enjoyed lunch then did some shopping and spent a couple hours at the Seward Sea Life Center. Jade had a great time watching the Sea Lions. She also loved to put her hands in the water to touch the starfish. Baby Kenny was content just to sit in his stroller at watch everyone around him. We all enjoyed getting out of Anchorage for the day.

Kenny is starting to sit up on his own now. We've put cushy squares on the floor so he can practice sitting up and fall over on soft padding!

Alaska State Fair

We spent the day at the Alaska State Fair yesterday. The day was sponsored by Target Store - which is opening up in Alaska in October. This was Kenny's 1st State Fair. He and I got a picture with the infamous Target Dog, Jade had a great time on the kiddie rides, seeing the farm animals, going into RV's, and eating sweets. We partook in fair food- I had one of the huge turkey legs, we ate cream puffs and kettle corn and Jade had fun eating her target lollipop.

Eric has been having a great time working with Jade on learning how to ride her "Big Girl" Bike. She and Eric go across the street to the High School parking lot and after only 1-2 sessions, she's learned how to use the pedal and handle bar break. She proudly shows me how she rides.

Kenny turned 7 months old this week. He has a never ending appetite and such a strong grip! Eric and I have starting running 3-4 times/week and he and Jade love to be outside riding in the jogging strollers with us.

Ohhh.. So Tired

Baby Kenny is getting more and more active every day. Tonight he was bouncing away in his exer-saucer and after a while we noticed he got quiet - as you can see he fell right to sleep. He was making us laugh because he would jerk awake but would bounce himself right back to sleep.

Anniversary Bliss

8 Years and Going Strong

Eric and I celebrated our 8th Wedding Anniversary this past weekend by going out to eat at the Double Muskey in Girdwood. We have made it back to Girdwood, the place we got married, every year except the year that Jade was born. We eat at one of the restuarants there every year and on occassion we take the tram ride up the mountain to the exact spot we got married. It is a beautiful place and we always enjoy the drive and the time we so seldomly get alone these days.
